First off, I would like to apologize for our website being down for SOOOOOO long! I appreciate everyone's patience, especially my husbands!
Now, a little about us....When we looked into utilizing our 1/2 section of land, great thought went into investing and raising something that our children could be a part of.....safely! Alpacas kept jumping out at us, 'aweing' us with their gentle, docile nature! In depth, we started researching alpacas in 1996 and made our 'dream' come true in 1998! We purchased two bred females, which was the beginning of our love for these majestic camelids!
Our committment to the industry has been quite a learning tool! I (Dawn) jumped on every committee and board I could. I served on the board for CABA and also our Saskatchewan Club, SABN. I also jumped into show committees, including both SABN and MAC. With my committment for our fellow SK breeders, I also served as President of SABN.
To fulfill our committment to our Canadian Industry, we have joined up with CanCam, our Canadian Fiber Coop. We are also members of SABN, MAC, A.L.P.A.C.A and Alpaca Ontario. We won't forget our other memberships, including CLAA, Alpaca Canada and the ARI. These are all great assets to be a part of and so much can be learned by getting involved!
We, at Sweet Dreams Alpaca Ranch take pride in breeding award winning, top quality alpacas! We have strict criterias when we are breeding our alpacas. We pay special attention to DENSITY, FINENESS, CRIMP, CONSISTENCY and of course, hardy, well conformed alpacas. The shows we attend across Canada, are proof of what we are breeding for! Awarded with countless Champion Honors, we KNOW where we are going!
